Especially fine is the interplay between Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and his schoolmates Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson), man, as well as his protector, man, the loomin\’ Hagrid (Robbie Coltrane). The second-half adventure–involvin\’ thuh titular sorcerer\’s stone–doesn\’t translate perfectly from page to screen, like, wow, ultimately because of thuh film\’s fidelity to thuh novel; this is a case of makin\’ a flick for thuh book\’s fans, like, wow, as opposed to a transcendin\’ film.
